It is a passive park, which includes picnic pavilions, an F-15 airplane, and a 9-ton anchor from the USS Langley. Rob Sullivan Community Park is the largest sports park and is named for a former Council Member who was instrumental in the early development of the City’s park system.

Daytona could accurately be called a seasonal town, with large groups of out-of-towners descending upon the city for various events, most notably Speedweeks in early February when over 200,000 NASCAR fans come to attend the season-opening Daytona 500.
